Role: Senior Java/Web Developer
Location: Remote (as per project requirement)
Job Type: Contract

Job Summary.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java/Web Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-level IT solutions. The role involves end-to-end ownership of application development, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java technologies, AWS cloud services, and automated testing frameworks. The candidate must also have the ability to work in complex, large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities.

Analysis and Design.
Participate in client discussions to analyze business requirements and priorities. Perform system analysis, design, documentation, and maintenance of IT solutions. Architect scalable and efficient solutions aligned with business and technical needs.

Application Development.
Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native, enterprise-grade applications. Build event-driven backend services and integrations, including EDI transactions. Ensure high performance, scalability, and availability of applications. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Production and Testing Support.
Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes. Work with automated testing frameworks to ensure application quality. Ensure system stability and continuous improvement.

Key Deliverables.

Deliver high-quality, scalable enterprise applications. Provide well-documented technical designs and solutions. Maintain stable and optimized production systems. Implement automated and reliable CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of professional experience in Java development.

Technical Skills.
Strong expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot, and Maven. Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, and others. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and CloudFormation. Proficiency in automated testing tools including JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Cypress, and Playwright. Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and Twelve-Factor methodology. Understanding of application security best practices.

Soft Skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Preferred Qualifications.

AWS Certified Developer (Associate or higher). Experience with Angular for front-end development. Knowledge of EDI systems and event-driven architecture. Hands-on experience with AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
