The Role

At SLA Capital, the Loan Officer is the star of the show. You're the trusted advisor our investors call first — not just when they need a loan, but when they're sizing up a deal, planning their next project, or navigating a tough situation. You'll own a book of business, build genuine relationships with flippers, landlords, and builders, and work alongside a tight-knit team that has your back every step of the way.

This isn't a role for order-takers. We want someone who thinks like an investor, leads with integrity, and closes deals because clients trust them — not just because they picked up the phone more than anyone else.

What You'll Do

  • Build and grow a portfolio of real estate investor clients through referrals, networking, and repeat business
  • Originate Fix & Flip, DSCR, and New Construction loans from first conversation to funded
  • Serve as a trusted advisor — capture the full story of each deal and bring creative, honest solutions to the table
  • Collaborate closely with our processing team to keep files moving and closings on time
  • Manage your pipeline with discipline and follow-through using our CRM
  • Attend investor meetups, real estate events, and industry networking opportunities
  • Hit your production goals. Then set new ones.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of experience in mortgage origination, private/hard money lending, real estate sales, title, or escrow
  • A genuine passion for real estate investment — you understand the deals, not just the paperwork
  • Sales-driven with a relationship-first mentality — our borrowers keep coming back because they trust us, and we need you to earn that same loyalty
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same
  • CRM proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Integrity that shows up when no one's watching — if you can't tell a borrower something they don't want to hear when it's the right thing to do, this isn't the right fit. If you can — welcome home.
