About the Role

Gabb is seeking adata-driven SEO, GEO & Organic Growth Manager to own and accelerate our organic search presence. You will assess what we have, identify the highest-leverage opportunities, and build the systems and playbooks needed to execute at a higher level. Our organic channel has real momentum and real room to grow - the right candidate will come in with fresh eyes, sharpen the strategy, and drive measurable results.

You will own the full organic growth stack: technical SEO, content strategy, on-page optimization, link building, and an increasingly important frontier - Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), ensuring Gabb surfaces prominently in AI-driven search experiences like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews. You will work cross-functionally with content, product, and paid media to turn organic search into a reliable, measurable growth engine for Gabb.

What You'll Do

ORGANIC STRATEGY & PROGRAM OWNERSHIP

  • Audit and evolve Gabb's organic search strategy - assess existing keyword targeting, content structure, and channel performance, then define a roadmap with measurable targets for non-branded organic traffic, share of voice, and conversion
  • >
  • Conduct comprehensive SEO audits across Gabb.com: technical health, content gaps, site architecture, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals
  • >
  • Develop and maintain a keyword and topical authority framework that maps to Gabb's customer acquisition funnel - from parent awareness to device purchase to service upsell
  • >
  • Define and track KPIs: organic sessions, keyword rankings, click-through rate, domain authority trajectory, and assisted conversions from organic
  • >
TECHNICAL SEO & ON-PAGE OPTIMIZATION
  • Own technical SEO execution: crawl health, indexation, structured data/schema markup, page speed, mobile optimization, and canonicalization
  • >
  • Perform regular landing page and blog content audits; identify and prioritize refresh opportunities based on traffic decay, ranking gaps, and conversion data
  • >
  • Optimize title tags, headers, and meta descriptions with a rigorous, test-and-iterate mindset
  • >
  • Work with WordPress (primary CMS) and collaborate with developers on technical implementation; a working understanding of SEO-relevant HTML is required, with familiarity with CSS and JavaScript a plus

CONTENT STRATEGY & EXECUTION
  • Partner with copywriters and content editors to define SEO-optimized content briefs grounded in semantic and entity-based keyword research

  • Build content hierarchies and topic clusters that establish Gabb as an authoritative voice in family technology, child safety, and digital wellness
  • >
  • Develop internal linking strategies that distribute authority effectively across the site and improve crawl depth
  • >
  • Write or direct copywriting for SEO-critical pages, including product pages, category pages, and comparison content
  • >
GENERATIVE ENGINE OPTIMIZATION (GEO)
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase Gabb's visibility in AI-driven search experiences including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and emerging LLM-based discovery surfaces
  • >
  • Optimize content for entity recognition, structured data, and authoritative topical coverage to improve inclusion in AI-generated answers
  • >
  • Monitor how large language models retrieve, synthesize, and surface content - and adapt Gabb's content strategy accordingly
  • >
  • Stay ahead of emerging GEO trends and translate them into actionable experiments
  • >
LINK BUILDING & OFF-PAGE AUTHORITY
  • Build and execute a sustainable link acquisition strategy through editorial outreach, digital PR, content partnerships, and co-marketing with complementary brands in the family and parenting space
  • >
  • Identify and pursue affiliate and media partner opportunities that build domain authority while supporting brand awareness
  • >
  • Monitor backlink profile health and disavow toxic links proactively
  • >
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIP
  • Partner with paid media to align organic and paid strategies, share keyword intelligence, and reduce cannibalization
  • >
  • Work with product and analytics teams to ensure SEO considerations are embedded in new page launches, site redesigns, and CRO experiments
  • >
  • Participate in growth experiments including landing page split tests and pricing page optimizations, bringing organic traffic data to inform hypotheses
  • >
  • Support outbound and ABM campaigns with organic content assets and search intelligence where relevant
  • >
What We're Looking For

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • 5-7 years of hands-on SEO experience in a growth marketing role, ideally within a consumer brand or e-commerce environment
  • >
  • Demonstrated track record of measurably growing non-branded organic traffic and improving keyword rankings - specific examples and metrics expected
  • >
  • Deep fluency in SEO tooling: Google Search Console, Ahrefs or SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics/GA4
  • >
  • Strong command of technical SEO: crawl analysis, structured data, Core Web Vitals, indexation management, and site architecture
  • >
  • Experience building content strategies using semantic SEO, entity modeling, and topic cluster frameworks
  • >
  • Meaningful familiarity with GEO and AI search optimization - not just awareness, but hands-on experimentation
  • >
  • Proficiency in WordPress; comfort working with developers on technical implementation tasks
  • >
  • Ability to write or direct high-quality SEO copy: title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and content briefs
