If that sounds appealing, read on.THE ROLEWe're looking for a software engineer who is comfortable living in an existing codebase — reading unfamiliar code, diagnosing bugs, making targeted fixes, and shipping with confidence. You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving a production platform that's actively used every day.This is not a greenfield role. The architecture exists. The patterns are established. Your job is to understand them, work within them, and make things better over time.You'll report to our VP of Engineering with direct access to the CEO. We use AI-assisted development tools extensively (Claude Code) — comfort with AI-assisted workflows is a plus.WHAT YOU'LL DO Diagnose and fix bugs across a multi-service .NET platformUpgrade, configure, and improve existing systemsWrite and optimize SQL queries and stored proceduresParticipate in requirements discussions and help scope featuresTest and deploy fixes to staging and production environmentsMaintain documentation as part of the development lifecycleCommunicate clearly and proactively when something is broken or unclearWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR3+ years of experience in .NET / C# developmentStrong SQL Server skills — queries, stored procedures, debugging slow queriesExperience with ASP.NET MVC or WebAPIComfort working in existing codebases you didn't writeSolid troubleshooting instincts — you trace problems rather than guessFamiliarity with GitHub and Jira (or comparable tools)Clear written communicationNice to Have Blazor WASM or .NET 6+ WebAPI experienceEntity FrameworkWCF / service-oriented architecture backgroundGitHub Actions / CI-CD pipeline experienceAgile / Jira workflow experienceCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS Compensation: $95,000–$130,000 depending on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance, Long-Term Disability, AD&D401(k) with company matchPaid time offFlexible, results-oriented work environment — we care about the quality of your output, not the hours you're at your deskRemote-friendly: we trust you to do great work wherever you do it bestREPORTING STRUCTUREReports to: Charles Kirker, VP of Engineering, with direct access to Wes Todd, CEO.HOW TO APPLYSubmit your resume and a brief note on your .NET background.
