Responsibilities

• Design stainless-steel vessels, fixtures, and support products, creating accurate 3D models, prototypes, and engineering documentation including BOMs, drawings, quotes, work instructions, and reports
• Lead and participate in interactive design reviews, apply Design for Manufacturability principles, identify critical inspection dimensions, and implement engineering changes with proper disposition
• Support prototype builds, testing, and product validation while contributing to cost-reduction efforts and understanding the cost impact of new designs
• Collaborate cross-functionally with fabrication, supply chain, sales, and other departments to streamline product development, resolve issues quickly, and maintain strong working relationships
• Assist supply chain and suppliers with component selection, specifications, lead times, and capability assessments to ensure efficient production and material availability
• Contribute to new product brainstorming, process improvements, and customer-focused service, with occasional travel as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of mechanical design experience and proficiency in solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
• Hands-on experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and applying engineering principles to real-world designs
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, materials, and mechanical systems, with familiarity in relevant industry codes such as UL 142, ASME BPV, API 650, and AWS D18.3
• Skilled in creating accurate engineering documentation and managing projects from concept through completion
• Strong organizational and communication abilities, with the capacity to work independently and support cross-functional engineering efforts
• Open to occasional travel
