This is an independent contributor role with no direct reports. The focus is on providing direction on production goals, account status, trends, and marketing initiatives by gaining a deep understanding of the client organization's wants, needs, and processes. We work with insurance agents, brokers, and financial advisors across the country to help them secure life insurance products for their clients who want to protect their families or their businesses. We take pride in insuring thousands of people nationwide as a leading distributor of life insurance in the nation.The Regional Sales Director will drive growth in an established, high-performing territory covering Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. The ideal candidate will have a strong life insurance background and experience in wholesale and point-of-sale strategies. They will be supported by an experienced internal team and have the opportunity to contribute to one of the nation's most established and successful brokerage agencies.This will be a fully remote role with travel opportunity and offers a competitive base salary of $75,000 + commission, with top performers capable of earning $250,000+ annually. Travel within the assigned region is required approximately 40% of the time to engage with clients, attend industry events, and actively drive business expansion.Note: This opportunity is for future hiring needs. Gold sheet, action plan, and strategic marketing planDevelop existing broker/account relationships and manage recruiting for new broker/accountsRegularly communicate the status of your accounts to the DBS team; keeping them informed of pertinent issues, especially during the onboarding processContinued development of industry, concept, carrier, and product knowledgeContribute to the overall success and profitability of the agencyMeet or exceed acquired and assigned account production goalsImplement key account strategies and processes with all accounts including Gold Sheet, action plan, and strategic marketing planRegularly communicate the status of your accounts to the DBS team, keeping them informed of pertinent issues, especially during the onboarding processContinued development of industry, concept, carrier, and product knowledgeEducation and/or ExperiencePast sales and relationship management experience in the life insurance industry requiredFINRA: Series 6 or 7, or 63 is requiredCollege degree or other higher education preferredLife and Health License preferredKnowledge, Skills, and/or AbilitiesLeadership, organizational skills, people skills, flexibility, team orientation, ability to travel, ability to manage a budget, good written and oral communication, ability to plan and prioritizeTeam Participation: Must work effectively in a diverse group of people as a team memberMust have the ability to travel within assigned region approx 50% (typically, same-day or short overnight trips and others as required)MS Office Suite and Salesforce (or similar CRM), Concur (or related expense management) requiredAble to quickly learn new business/communications systems and technologiesAbility to communicate in a professional mannerHigh focus on quality and customer satisfactionFlexible and able to react to change in a productive and positive mannerStrong work ethic and ability to work with a sense of urgencyEnsures that all DBS customers are provided service that is complete, accurate, prompt, confidential, and courteousWhat We OfferWe offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location.
