ResponsibilitiesComplete psychiatric crisis assessments for adult and pediatric Emergency Department patientsPerform biopsychosocial assessments and behavioral health evaluationsProvide level-of-care recommendations to physicians and nursing staffCoordinate inpatient psychiatric referrals, safety planning, and discharge planningComplete Single Bed Certification (SBC) assessments when psychiatrists are unavailableInitiate Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) evaluations when clinically indicatedCollaborate closely with interdisciplinary ED and behavioral health teamsSupport patients and families with counseling, treatment planning, and care navigationParticipate in treatment planning and ongoing care coordinationDocument assessments, recommendations, and care coordination activities within Epic EMRRequirementsActive Washington LICSW, LMFT, or Mental Health Counselor licenseBLS certificationMinimum 1 year of experience requiredExperience conducting psychiatric/crisis assessments for adult and pediatric patientsEmergency Department or hospital behavioral health experience preferredExperience with involuntary holds / psychiatric emergency workflows preferredAbility to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity behavioral health environments
