The families who select Alpha rely on trusted advisors in every area of their lives. This is the one they've been waiting for. You'll be the person they reach out to when they're unsure, when something doesn't feel quite right, or when they want to share a moment they know you'll appreciate. You'll understand each family deeply enough to sense what they need before they voice it—and you'll possess the judgment and composure to address whatever they bring with discretion, warmth, and ease. Over time, you won't simplybe associated with their child's school. You'll become woven into how they navigate this phase of their family's journey. That level of trust isn't built through a procedure. It emerges from presence—daily, steady, unhurried. You'll be visible during morning drop‑off and afternoon pick‑up, at the evening gatherings that count, and in the individual conversations that never appear on a schedule. You'll cultivate a community that families feel invested in protecting, where belonging feels natural and referrals occur because the experience warrants them.
Alpha is not a conventional school. Students complete core academics in two hours daily using AI‑powered applications, then dedicate the remainder of their time to public speaking, critical thinking, and real‑world projects. No lectures. No busywork. Top 1% outcomes nationally. The families who select it are investing in something they value—but conviction requires care.
What You Will Be Doing
- Take ownership of the relationship with every family on campus—the continuous, evolving relationship that ensures parents feel recognized, not simply served
- Identify concerns before they surface as conversations, and address them with the discretion and social competence that preserves trust
- Maintain visible presence where families gather: morning drop‑off (7–9am), afternoon pick‑up (2–4pm), evening parent gatherings, and occasional weekend activities
- Develop a campus community with authentic depth—events, traditions, and touchpoints that make families feel they are part of something worth defending
- Develop parent advocates naturally, creating experiences so reliably excellent that referrals become the expected outcome
- Sustain the ongoing dialogue about Alpha's AI‑powered model with families managing screen‑time concerns, skeptical extended family, and moments of uncertainty—not only at enrollment, but throughout their campus experience
- Recognize when a family isn't the right match and address that with the same care you apply to everything else—safeguarding the community is integral to serving it
- Establish the systems and routines this role demands in an environment where the framework is still being developed
What You Won't Be Doing
- Managing enrollment—that belongs to the Admissions Director; your work starts when families commit and grows from there
- Remaining behind a desk—your presence within the community defines the role
- Working standard 9–5 hours—early mornings, late afternoons, and evening gatherings are inherent to the position, not occasional requirements
- Relying on administrative support, established processes, or a complete team—you function with significant autonomy and create what you need
- Approaching family relationships as accounts to be managed—this role rewards authentic connection, not procedural adherence
Director Of Parent Engagement & Advocacy Key Responsibilities
Serve as the trusted relationship at the heart of every family's experience at Alpha. Maintain their confidence through challenging moments, develop a community where belonging feels intentional, and establish the conditions where satisfied families become enthusiastic advocates.
Basic Requirements
- Currently reside within commuting distance of one of these campuses OR willing to relocate within 60 days (preference for candidates with existing community roots): Scottsdale, AZ; Denver, CO; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; Park City, UT; Chantilly, VA; or Kirkland, WA
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- 5+ years in a relationship role serving high‑net‑worth or ultra‑high‑net‑worth families—private school admissions, luxury hospitality, philanthropy, or any environment where discretion, warmth, and social fluency were as critical as competence
- Proven capacity to maintain relationships through challenging moments with sophisticated families and emerge with trust strengthened
- Natural presence and communication approach that builds confidence quickly with affluent, high‑expectation families—not polished in a manner that appears rehearsed
- Personal familiarity with independent, private, or non‑traditional education—professionally or as a parent—that provides you genuine credibility when families challenge the model
- Authentic belief in AI‑powered education and the capacity to sustain that conviction genuinely through years of parent relationships, not merely the enrollment discussion
- Availability for flexible hours: early mornings (7–9am), late afternoons (2–4pm), evening events 2–3x/month, and occasional weekend activities
Nice‑to‑have Requirements
- Established relationships within the local affluent community that would provide you an immediate, organic foothold on campus
- Private school or independent school experience with a demonstrated record of family retention and community strength—not merely enrollment figures
- Experience managing high‑stakes family relationships where your judgment and discretion were the foundation trust endured
- A talent for designing experiences—events, moments, environments—where people feel they're part of something worth protecting
- Prior startup or early‑stage experience where you constructed from scratch and remained composed when circumstances shifted rapidly
