divh2Title Officer Assistant/h2pThe individual in this job will already be proficient in other title assistant positions within the department. The Title Officer Assistant will provide direct support for one or more title officers. This includes conducting research, preparing recordings, and handling various tasks as assigned by the title officer(s). This position may also be responsible for the maintenance and issuance of several low-risk title insurance products./ppEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned./ppThe individual in this position must possess good organizational skills; be able to type 65 or more words per minute with a high degree of accuracy; utilize 10-key by-touch; have the ability to communicate well with customers to obtain additional information./ppConduct land/name searches in the Companys title plant./ppUtilize the Companys title production software./ppProduce and maintain low-risk title insurance products, including but not limited to, various reports and guarantees, and junior loan policies./ppReview documents for recording at the county courthouse./ppPrepare policy write-ups prior to issuing policies and handle post-policy requests./ppConduct file updates and oversees the delivery thereof./ppHandles requests as assigned by the title officers or department team leader./ppProvides phone coverage for title officers./ppQualifications/Experience:/ppTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to effectively present information to top management and co-workers./ppAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations./ppAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables./ppAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form./ppProficient use of Ultima, Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Order processing, Windows, micro-film real machines and fax machines./ppPhysical Demands:/ppThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
