Office locations include: Monterey (CA), Roseville (CA), Bakersfield (CA), Phoenix (AZ), and Spokane (WA)./ph3Job Overview/h3pAs an Agri Business Underwriter, you will be responsible to review applications for agri business insurance, assessing overall risk attributes, appropriate pricing, and determining correct fit within Company guidelines and policies. This position is responsible for building strong agency relationships to develop new business opportunities; retain a strong renewal book of business and manage the overall book to profitability metrics. The Underwriter must adhere to underwriting guidelines for service and authority./ph3Minimum Requirements/h3pEducation and Experience:/pulliCollege degree (or equivalent experience) and 2 plus years of agri business underwriting experience writing small to medium sized commercial risks./liliThis individual must have demonstrated ability to apply sound underwriting principles and manage an underwriting workload with limited supervision./liliCompletion of technical insurance coursework preferred, such as AFIS, CPCU, AU, ARM, CRM or CIC./li/ulpKnowledge of:/pulliAgri Business Insurance Underwriting principles, procedures, rules and regulations/liliRating plans (ISO or similar) and commercial lines coverages/liliKnowledge of social, economic and competitive aspects of territory assigned/liliNational and local business conditions and trends/liliUnderwriting and marketing philosophy and procedure/liliCorrect English usage, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary/liliBasic mathematics and the application of formulas/li/ulpAbility to:/pulliCorrelate risk factors to underwriting standards to determine acceptance of risk/liliProduce accurately and consistently to meet deadlines within service and production standards/liliAnalyze problems and develop effective solutions/liliExchange ideas, information and influence others through effective communication/liliFunction in a collaborative and positive team work environment/liliDemonstrate commitment to professional development to improve knowledge and skills to advance job performance/liliMust maintain a valid drivers license and accommodate routine business travel/li/ulpCareer Path potential:/pulliAgri Business Senior Underwriter/liliAgri Business Underwriting Specialist/li/ulpstrongSalary Range: /strong $65,091 - $108,485/ppThe salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions.
