Requirements: Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy Current RT license and registration 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care or critical care hospital setting Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential preferred if applicable Key Responsibilities: Administer respiratory treatments and therapeutic interventions precisely as prescribed by physicians. Perform diagnostic tests on the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Deliver life-support services and respond effectively to emergency cardiopulmonary needs within the facility to ensure patient safety. Document assessments, treatments, patient responses, and procedures accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR), following facility policies and industry standards. Maintain respiratory equipment, supplies, and workstations in strict accordance with safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards. Participate actively in departmental Performance Improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency. Collaborate seamlessly with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Adhere to all facility protocols, policies, and procedures, including security and access controls, ensuring compliance and patient confidentiality.
