Job Summary: Utilizes expert knowledge in data governance concepts and principles and applies skills in a business environment. Operates independently and provides coaching and feedback to team members. Implements protocols and supports multiple domains/areas. Regularly coaches and mentors other team members ensuring acceptable performance standards. Functions as an expert with data governance platforms and leverages solutions for the business. At times represents governance concepts with senior leadership team.
Essential Job Functions: Uses advanced knowledge and understanding of leading edge technologies, reporting and visualization concepts to present and interpret complex information to various business and IT partners across management levels. Writes RACI and/or RAPID matrix and detailed roadmaps to include project scoping and measurement metrics contribution. Presents material to executives, addressing issues independently. Delivers specific data governance tasks such as cataloging, profiling, and defining with no guidance. Works across business domains or governance capabilities and finalizes planning activities ensuring business value is achieved. Serves as a point person for answering questions, providing high level consultation and/or guidance. Utilizes increased knowledge with governance concepts and serves as an expert with practical implementation experience. Provides coaching and mentoring to other team members. Utilizes specialized understanding of data modeling principles, data governance, strategy and data management to execute on large sized complex tasks within timelines. Develops more complex data project plans and executes independently, efficiently handling ambiguity. Writes and drives enterprise data governance standards, policies principles at the enterprise level. Effectively communicates and applies data governance value, concepts, and strategies across multiple efforts and scenarios.
Experience Requirements: 10+ years related experience preferred. Education Requirements Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred. Additional Qualifications: Possesses strong technical aptitude. Advanced skills with MS office applications such as Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint. Familiar with key data governance technologies and practical experience leveraging technologies for complex use cases. Can also explain technologies to varying levels of the organization. Ability to influence internal and/or external constituents. Effectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback. Instills commitment to organizational goals. Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills.
Physical Actions: This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions. Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
