Job Description
This role focuses on precision TIG and MIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel components for aerospace applications.
You will perform high-tolerance, cosmetic-quality welds using advanced equipment, including a Bluetooth foot pedal for TIG operations, and support light assembly work using hand and power tools.
Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret measurements and blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel components, using a Bluetooth foot pedal to control weld quality and consistency.
Execute hardwire MIG welding on aluminum, maintaining approximately a 50/50 balance between TIG and MIG processes as production demands.
Produce high-tolerance, cosmetic-quality welds that meet stringent aerospace standards and visual requirements.
Inspect welds for accuracy, appearance, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality.
Assist with assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools to fit, align, and secure parts according to instructions and drawings.
Read and interpret tape measurements, numbers, and fractions to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
Support fabrication activities by following blueprints, work instructions, and quality guidelines.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety procedures in all welding and assembly operations.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle tools and equipment with care.
Collaborate with team members and maintain a positive, professional attitude to meet production and quality goals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience working with aluminum and stainless steel in a production or fabrication setting.
Exposure to aerospace or other high-specification industries where tight tolerances and cosmetic finishes are critical.
Familiarity with fabrication processes beyond welding, such as fitting, aligning, and basic metal preparation.
Comfort using a Bluetooth foot pedal or similar advanced welding controls.
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing visually appealing, high-quality welds.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to changing production needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
