Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education required
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Previous experience working with students with diverse learning disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families
  • Flexible, compassionate, and patient approach with students
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
  • Provide direct instruction, individualized support, and academic interventions
  • Track and document student progress, updating goals as necessary
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate inclusive classroom experiences
  • Partner with families to keep them informed of student growth and challenges
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
  • Adapt materials and lesson plans to maximize learning
